Navigating the Fire Dungeon Puzzle (Step-by-Step)
The Fire Dungeon puzzle consists in navigating a minefield.
Stepping on the land mines will take your three Digimon down to 1 HP, which will force you to lose time in order to heal your party.
Since you can also run into wild Digimon, you are better off avoiding the traps.
Step 1: Stay left and walk down the stairs. Turn down, sticking close to the wall.
Line yourself up with the bottom side of the orange lava hole, then turn left and continue to the bottom-left corner of the square.

Step 2: From the bottom-left corner of the square, face northwest. Walk to the bottom-right corner of the next lava hole.
Stop at the bottom-right corner, then face southwest. Continue to the top-right corner of the red lava hole.

Step 3: Stay as close as possible to the red hole. Walk to its bottom-right corner, then continue to the top-right corner of the lava hole right below.
Face left, staying as close as possible to the hole. Then walk left until you get to the large crack – stop just before you step on the crack.

Step 4: Face a bit southeast here and then walk to the nearest corner of the next hole.

Step 5: Once again, stay as close as possible to the hole. From the corner here, turn down and walk to the center of the hole right below.

Step 6: From the middle of this hole, line yourself up with the far-left edge of the room.
Turn left here and then walk in a straight line until you get to the wall on the far-left side.

Complete any preparations now for the Fire Knight before proceeding.
Step 7: Stay close to the wall on bottom area here. Then walk in a straight line to the stairs in order to clear the puzzle.

Once you get to the top of the stairs, the Fire Knight will challenge you.

Fire Knight Boss Fight
| Fire Knight Details | |||
|---|---|---|---|
| Digimon | Elemental Weaknesses | Neutral Damage | Elemental Resistances |
| Meramon | Water | Darkness, Machine, Thunder, Wind | Fire, Ice |
| SkullMeramon | Water | Darkness, Machine, Thunder, Wind | Fire, Ice |
| BlueMeramon | Water | Darkness, Machine, Thunder, Wind | Fire, Ice |
All three Digimon share the same weaknesses, being Meramon side forms and digivolutions.
The Fire Knight runs a very offensive team, dealing over 1,000 damage per hit. However, he is still a fairly weak boss compared to the previous ones.
Rosemon is one of the earliest Mega digivolutions available, and it learns Grand Wave, one of the strongest Water techs in the game, at Skill LV 10.
Grand Wave also becomes loadable at Skill LV 30, making it accessible to your other digivolutions.
After the fight, the Fire Knight will let you through to the final dungeon.

Next you will face off against the Dark Knight in the Dark Dungeon.
