Entering Seiryu City
From the entrance, head north and walk up the two ramps.

Stock up on Power Charges for healing if you haven’t done it already, as you will need them for the two bosses later.
On the top of the second ramp, turn left and enter Seiryu Tower.

Inside Seiryu Tower, head upstairs to the second floor.
Continue until the end of the path and talk to Repeating Tom in order to learn about the Seiryu Leader’s whereabouts.

Then we need to head back to East Wire Forest.
East Wire Forest
Once you’re back at Wire Forest, head west from the entrance and continue north until the ramp.

Walk up the ramp and continue along the linear path and you will reach the next area, Protocol Forest.

Protocol Forest
After you enter Protocol Forest, take the path to the east.

Try raising your main digivolutions up to Skill LV 10, and your Rookie Digimon up to the level 7-9 range.
Then keep heading east until you reach a path covered by trees.

Navigating the Protocol Forest Maze (Step-by-Step)
In order to enter the ruins, you will need to navigate a maze covered by the trees.
Step 1: Walk one step right, then turn up.

Step 2: Walk three steps up, then turn right.

Step 3: Walk three steps right, then turn down.

Step 4: Walk two steps down, then turn right.

Step 16: Walk two steps up, then turn left.

Step 17: Walk three steps left, then turn down.

You will then be able to see your character’s sprite again at this point. Just walk left to exit the maze.
After you exit the maze, turn and go north to continue forward to reach the stairs that lead up to the ruins.

Protocol Ruins
Walk forward from the entrance until the path splits into two. You want to take the route to the right.

Continue along the linear path until you reach the stairs. Walk up the first set of stairs, turn right, and then jump down the ledge.

Walk inside the tunnel and go left, until you reach the end of the linear path.

Once you exit on the other side, you will find the Seiryu Leader training with his party.
Talk to him and he will ask you to defeat MasterTyranno (MasterTyrannomon) in Tyranno Valley.

After that, return to Wind Prairie.
Wind Prairie
Keep going east along the sand path in Wind Prarie, and continue past the entrance to Seiryu City.

Continue east along the sand path until you reach the next area, Kicking Forest.

Kicking Forest
Head east from the entrance, then turn north and climb up the ladder.

Walk north and continue up the second ladder.

Head north to enter Tyranno Valley.

Tyranno Valley
Before proceeding, you will need to gain a few levels. Raise your main digivolutions up to Skill LV 20, and your Rookie Digimon up to the level 8-10 range.
- Triceramon, the most common wild Digimon in Tyranno Valley, gives 30 EXP. It can also drop a TNT Ball, which you will need later in the main story.
- Tyrannomon, the second-most common encounter, gives 31 EXP.
Then here’s how to navigate the area:
From the entrance, walk in a straight line and climb up the ladder.
Next, walk north and climb up the ladder. You can ignore the ladders on the left and on the right side.

Once you reach the top of the ladder, take the path to the left side and continue along the giant dinosaur skeleton.
When you reach the crossroad on the skeleton, take the path to the left.

The path will become linear going forward.
Continue until you reach the end, and then climb up the ladder.
Once you reach the top, walk up to MasterTyrannomon. Heal your party, and then talk to MasterTyrannomon in order to fight it.

MasterTyrannomon Boss Fight
| MasterTyrannomon Details | |
|---|---|
| Elemental Weakness | Ice |
| Neutral Damage | Darkness, Metal, Thunder, Water, Wind |
| Elemental Resistance | Fire |
MasterTyrannomon has a relatively high Attack stat. Its signature tech, Master Fire, will deal moderate to high Fire damage (between 200-250, going up to 400 for critical hits).
Heal through MasterTyrannomon’s damage with Power Charges as soon as your Digimon’s health drops below 30%.
Dinohumon (Kotemon) and Kyubimon (Renamon) can both learn Ice techniques at Skill LV 15. While Dinohumon learns the physical tech Frost Blade, Kyubimon learns the magic tech Ice Blow.
Exploiting MasterTyrannomon’s elemental weaknesses is the quickest way to win this fight.
Dinohumon and Kyubimon can finish it off in three turns.
Party C will have a harder time. Grizzmon (Kumamon) can deal neutral damage to MasterTyrannomon with Thunder (Lightning Slash) and Wind (Whirlwind) techs. In Party C’s case, you will probably take between five and eight turns to win the fight.
Angemon (Patamon) can also deal neutral Wind damage with Air Blast, but this Digimon lacks the offensive power to be a viable option.
If you struggle to beat Master Tyrannomon, here are some additional tips:
- Raise your main digivolutions’ Skill LV up to 25, and your Rookie Digimon all the way up to level 10.
- Return to Asuka City and buy a Fire Ring from Gomamon’s Pawn Shop. This accessory will boost your Digimon’s elemental resistance against Fire techniques.
- Go back to Protocol Forest and fight a few Gekomon to obtain an Ice Power 1 as a drop. Ice Power is an accessory that 1 adds a small amount of Ice elemental damage to the equipped Digimon’s techniques.
After you defeat MasterTyrannomon, it will give you the Old Claw as a reward.

You can now return to Seiryu City and fight the Seiryu Leader.
Seiryu Leader Boss Fight
Enter Seiryu Tower and head to the second floor again.
Walk to the door behind Repeating Tom in order to access the arena.

| Seiryu Leader Details | |||
|---|---|---|---|
| Digimon | Elemental Weaknesses | Neutral Damage | Elemental Resistances |
| Minotarumon | Fire | Dark, Ice, Machine, Thunder, Water | Wind |
| Tyrannomon | Ice | Dark, Machine, Thunder, Water, Wind | Fire |
| Apemon | Dark, Fire | Machine, Thunder, Water | Ice, Wind |
Minotarumon and Tyrannomon won’t pose much of a problem, and will go down in two turns each if you exploit their respective elemental weakness.
Apemon can be tricky to deal with, as it hits hard, has a sizable HP pool, and also has a very high Speed stat.
Because of its high Speed, Apemon will be able to act twice per turn.
If you chose Party A or Party B, you will be able to perform a DNA DV in battle to quickly beat Apemon.
At this point in the game, you will be able to DNA DV into Agunimon, which is a Fire element Digimon. The following combinations will DNA DV into Agunimon:
- Dinohumon (Kotemon) + Kyubimon (Renamon)
- Greymon (Agumon) + Hookmon (Monmon)
If you struggle to take down Apemon, here are some tips:
- Return to Tyranno Valley and raise your main digivolutions up to Skill LV 25, and your Rookie Digimon up to level 10.
- Still in Tyranno Valley, defeat a few Tyrannomon until you obtain a Fire Power 1 as a drop. Fire Power 1 will add a small amount of Fire elemental damage to the equipped Digimon’s techniques. Keep in mind that, in turn, Fire Power 1 will make your techs slightly weaker against Seiryu Leader’s Tyrannomon.
Once you defeat the Seiryu Leader, he will give you the Seiryu Badge and a Silver Ticket as rewards.

For the next step in the main story, you will have to go to access the gondola in East Station, in the southern section of Kicking Forest.
