The Horse is a functional pet that you can ride around town. Your horse will start as a pony that can’t be ride, but once it’s fully grown it can be taken out of the farm to ride around Mineral Town and participate in the Horse Derby.

Horse Events

On Spring 4th of Year 1, an event will occur where Mugi brings a pony to your farm and asks if you’d take care of it. You can either accept or reject the offer.

If the horse is rejected, then you cannot obtain another one for the rest of the existing save file.

But if the horse is accepted then you’ll get a new pony! After it’s been on your farm for 90 days, Mugi will return to check on the horse. If it has at least 4 heart levels then he will allow the horse to stay on the farm permanently.

Tip: Get the Brush ASAP to start increasing your horse’s affection towards you.

Event 1: Congratulations! It’s a Horse!

Description	Mugi visits your farm and offers you a baby pony to raise.

Event 2: Equine Evaluation

Date	Winter 4th, Year 1
Time	6:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Location	Farm
Weather	Sunny
Requirements	The player accepted the horse in the event “Congratulations! It’s a horse!” It has been exactly 90 days since Mugi delivered the horse
Description	Mugi returns to visit the pony and see how it’s doing. If the horse has >4 hearts, Mugi will let the player keep the horse (+10 FP with Mugi) If the horse has <4 hearts, Mugi will take the horse away (-10 FP with Mugi)

Event 3: Receiving a Horse (Optional)

Requirements	The horse was taken away in the event “Equine Evaluation” It has been exactly one year since the horse was taken away
Description	Mugi returns to offer you an adult horse again. This only occurs if you lost the horse initially due to having not enough LP with the animal during Event 2.

Horse Life Stages

The horse will live in the stable when you get it.

Your new pony will need to be brushed, whistled at, and talked to daily to gain friendship. After 90 days on the farm, if you have at least 4+ FP with your Pony, it will grow up into a Horse that Mugi lets you keep. You can then ride your horse around anywhere.

Note: The horse does not need to be fed, but it will accept Pet Treats (sold at Van’s Pet Shop) while it’s still a pony to raise its heart level. But after it grows up it will not eat Pet Treats anymore.
