The fireplace is a feature of your upgraded farmhouse in Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town.
And it has a little-known in-game buff: it actually reduces your fatigue every time you use it during the Winter.
It’s automatically added to the house when you get the Big House upgrade from Gotts.

Once it’s installed, all you need to do is place a single piece of Lumber into the fireplace. You can also use Branches (debris) if you don’t want to waste lumber.

Remember that you can only benefit from this if you start a fire during Winter.
During other seasons, you’ll end up gaining more fatigue since you make the house more stuffy by lighting a fire.
Here are the fatigue buffs you get by lighting a fire in each season:
| Fireplace Effects | |
|---|---|
| Season | Fatigue Buffs |
| Winter | -5 FAT (-2 FAT for additional lumber) |
| Spring | +1 FAT |
| Summer | +5 FAT |
| Autumn | +1 FAT |
As an added bonus, you’ll get more fatigue points reduced every time you walk back into the farmhouse.
So in the Winter, this would be get an extra -1 FAT each time you enter.
But if the fireplace is on during Spring and Autumn, you’ll gain +1 FAT each time you reenter the house, and +5 FAT in the Summer.

During these other seasons it’s best to restore fatigue by using Huang’s Flower Vase or Caffeine instead.
