Every year on Summer 1st, Zack hosts the Fetch Fest on Mineral Beach.
At this festival you can bring one of your adult pets to compete in a frisbee-throwing minigame and try to get the highest score for a Power Berry prize.
Requirements & How to Enter
To participate in the Fetch Fest, you will need to own at least one adult pet and have purchased a Frisbee.
On Spring 30th, the day before the festival, Zack will visit your farm in the morning to ask if you want to join. If you agree, you can select which of your adult pets you’d like to enter.
Getting an Adult Pet
Pets can be purchased from Van. He is the traveling merchant who visits Mineral Town after you’ve given the Harvest Goddess at least 30 offerings.
Once unlocked, Van will set up a pet store in Rose Plaza on the 15th day of every season from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM (as long as it’s not raining).
After purchasing a pet, it will be considered fully grown after 60 days.

Training with the Frisbee
The Frisbee item can be purchased from Huang’s shop for 5,000 G anytime after Fall 1st of your first year.
To win the Fetch Fest, you need to train with your pet to increase its skill. You can check your pet’s skill level in the Relationships tab of the menu.
To train, go to Mineral Beach and interact with the blue sign to start the frisbee minigame.
You can track their progress using the skill progress bar in their Relationships tab. The same bar will also appear on the left side of the screen when you’re playing Frisbee.
The higher the level of the green bar, the more skilled your pet will be at Frisbee.
The more you play with your pet, the better they will become and the farther they will be able to catch the frisbee. A high skill level is the key to winning the Fetch Fest.
Event Details
To participate in the festival, head to Mineral Beach any time between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM on Summer 1st. When you’re ready to begin, speak to Zack to start the contest.
You will have two attempts to throw the frisbee as far as you can for your pet to catch.
Your final score will be compared against the other contestants. Just beat the high score to win.
Prizes & Benefits
The first time you win the Fetch Fest, Zack will award you with a Power Berry, which will permanently increase your maximum stamina by +15.
You can also earn friendship points by talking to the villagers in attendance and for winning the competition.
