Every year on Autumn 21st, the Fluffy Festival is held in Rose Plaza to showcase the town’s best Sheep, Alpacas, and Angora Rabbits.

Winning the festival will enable your animal to produce Gold-quality wool, fleece, or fur, and eventually even higher qualities.

Requirements & How to Enter

The only requirement to enter the contest is to own one adult Sheep, Alpaca, or Angora Rabbit.

Sheep and Alpacas can be purchased from Yodel Ranch, while Angora Rabbits are sold at PoPoultry.

On Autumn 20th, the day before the festival, Mugi will visit your farm to invite you. You can then select which animal you want to enter.

Note: Animals cannot be entered unless their fleece or fur is fully grown. Be sure not to shear them for several days before the festival.

The animals are judged based on their affection level, so it’s best to enter your farm animal with the most hearts.

Tip: An animal only needs to win the Fluffy Festival once to unlock Gold-quality fleece. There’s no need to enter the same animal in subsequent years.

Event Details

To join the festival, head to Rose Plaza after 10:00 AM on Autumn 21st. You can talk to the any villagers first, and when you’re ready, speak with Mugi to begin the judging.

There is no minigame for this event. Mugi will just inspect all the contestants and announce the winner.

To win, your animal needs to have the highest friendship level, ideally 8 hearts or more.

Prizes & Benefits

The first time you win the Fluffy Festival, Mugi will award you with the Fluffy Trophy, which you can display in your farmhouse. You’ll also receive +20 friendship points with all the villagers for winning.

If your winning animal has 8 or more hearts then it will also begin to produce Gold-quality wool, fleece, or fur. Depending on other conditions, it can also produce Platinum and X-quality items.

Fleece Type Requirements
Gold (G) Win the Fluffy Festival with an animal that has 8-10 hearts.
Platinum (P) Win the Fluffy Festival with an animal that has 8-10 hearts and has spent at least 1,000 hours grazing outside.
X There is a 1 in 255 chance that an animal capable of producing Platinum-quality fleece will produce X-quality instead.
