Grass Seedlings are a special type of crop that can be purchased from Jeff at the General Store. When planted, they instantly create a patch of grass that can be harvested for Fodder to feed your barn animals. This grass will spread on its own over time.

Planting Grass
Grass Seedlings can be purchased for 500 G each. To plant them, simply place a seedling on any empty, un-tilled square of your farm. A patch of grass will appear instantly.
Over time, this grass will spread to adjacent empty tiles. It’s a good idea to use fencing to create a dedicated pasture and prevent the grass from taking over your entire farm.

Harvesting and Storing Fodder
Fully grown grass is the source of Fodder for your barn animals (Cows, Sheep, and Alpacas).
There are two ways for your animals to eat it:
- Grazing – Let your animals outside into a fenced pasture. They will eat the grass directly from the field.
- Harvesting – Use your Sickle on mature grass to turn it into Fodder. Each cut provides one piece of Fodder.
When harvesting with the Sickle, be sure to leave some patches of grass behind so it can continue to spread and regrow.

Harvested Fodder can be placed in the feeding bins inside the barn for your animals. Any excess Fodder can be stored in the Silo located next to the barn. The Silo can hold up to 999 pieces of Fodder.
