The Sunsweet Flower is a special red flower that only appears in Autumn. It plays a crucial role in the town’s traditions and is a necessary prerequisite for dating and marriage. You must complete a special event to unlock the ability to purchase its seeds.
The Preserved Flower Event
To unlock Sunsweet Flower seeds, you must first trigger the “Preserved Flower” event. This event is a requirement for dating any of the marriage candidates. It will trigger when you exit your farmhouse if the following conditions are met:
- It is Autumn 1st of your first year, OR you have seen a marriage candidate’s blue heart event.
- The time is between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
- The day is not Sunday or Tuesday.
During the event, Jeff and Basil will explain the legend of the Sunsweet Flower, and the Nature Sprites will help you find one.
After you complete the event, Jeff will begin selling Sunsweet Flower seeds at the General Store. This event also unlocks the Preserved Flower, an item you need to buy to ask a candidate to start dating you.
Foraging Location
Sunsweet Flowers can only be found growing wild in one location during the Autumn: the Secret Forest.
New flowers will respawn here almost daily, so check back often.
Growing Sunsweet Flowers
After completing the Preserved Flower event, you can buy Sunsweet Flower seeds from the General Store for 1,000 G per bag. Each bag covers a 3×3 plot of tilled soil.
After planting, water them daily and they’ll be ready to harvest in 11 days.

The Sunsweet Flower is one of the six flowers needed to craft the special Spring Sun recipe item.
Gifting
Sunsweet Flowers are a great gift for a select few villagers and the Nature Sprites.

Selling
Sunsweet Flowers sell for a base price of 10 G. You can either place them in the Shipping Bin or sell them directly to Huang.
Huang Prices
You can earn a small profit by selling Sunsweet Flowers to Huang outside of Autumn. For Autumn crops, you get a 12.5% bonus in Spring and a 10% bonus in Summer and Winter.
