Kappa Jewels are special collectible items found exclusively in the Lake Mine. There are 9 Kappa Jewels total, each appearing on a specific floor of the mine. Once you collect all 9 jewels, Kappa will appear and give you the Kappa Treasure as a reward.
Unlike regular mine items that can be found randomly, each Kappa Jewel appears on only one designated floor, making them predictable but requiring significant mining progress to collect them all.

Finding Kappa Jewels
Finding a Kappa Jewel is as simple as breaking rocks on the designated floors of the Lake Mine.
Only one Jewel will appear on each floor, so you’ll have to visit all 9 levels to complete your collection.

If you have unlocked the Mine Elevator then you can skip directly to the designated floors for faster collection. This is especially helpful for the deeper floors like 180 and 255.
Save Scum Method
If you don’t get a Kappa Jewel on your first try, you can use the save scum method to save time on mining.
This works by saving your game before you go down to the next level. If you don’t find the item you wanted, you can just reload the save and try again.

The save scum method takes advantage of the fact that each level in the mine resets each time you go down a ladder. The spawn rates of the items also reload, and you can just keep going back to your previous save so you don’t run out of time or stamina before you can find a Kappa Jewel.
