Golden Eggs are the fourth-tier egg quality in Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town.
To obtain Golden Eggs you need a chicken with 8-10 hearts that has won the Cluck-Cluck Clash Festival and has spent less than 1,000 hours outside the Coop.

Breeding for Higher Heart Levels
Chickens purchased from PoPoultry Ranch can have a maximum of 5 hearts.
To get chickens capable of reaching 8+ hearts, you must breed them using the Coop’s incubator.
Each generation of chicks will have one additional maximum heart level compared to their parent.
So you’ll need to continue breeding through multiple generations until you have a chicken with at least the potential for 8 maximum hearts.
To increase your chicken’s LP to 8+ hearts, you can:
- Talk to them daily
- Hand-feed them (equip Chicken Feed and interact)
- Let them graze outside for at least 5 hours per day (but stay under 1,000 hours!)
Each action adds 1 LP. There is also no heart decay for farm animals in this game.
Maintaining Golden Egg Production
After unlocking Golden Eggs, if you want to specifically only get Golden Eggs long-term from a certain chicken, then keep it inside the Coop to prevent it from accumulating 1,000+ hours outside.
After 1,000 hours outside it will produce Platinum Eggs instead.
And once a chicken starts laying Platinum Eggs, you would need to start over with a new chicken to get back to Golden Eggs again.
