Chickens are one of several livestock animals that you can acquire to raise on your farm. They are the first barn animal you will receive, as you’ll be given one for free by Mayor Felix during a tutorial event on Spring 5th.
Your chickens will produce Eggs daily, which are laid at nesting spots inside the barn.
Additionally, each Chicken has a 4% base chance to produce a rare product (Egg +) instead of a regular egg. This chance increases as your animal’s Happiness stat increases.
Acquisition
You’ll get your first Chicken for free from Mayor Felix during on Spring 5th.
After that event, additional Chicks and adult Chickens can be purchased from Ramon’s Critters for 2,000 G and 4,000 G respectively.
And unlike other barn animals, both Chicks and adult Chickens will be available to purchase from Ramon’s from the start, without needing to buy a baby first.
