After returning from a night in the mountains, Arata arrives for work in filthy clothes, much to Diana’s frustration.

While Diana argues that clean clothes are a basic societal expectation, Arata remains cheerfully unbothered, believing that being dirty is far better than being hungry.

Though Diana is frustrated by his “wild animal” logic, Harold finds himself impressed by Arata’s unshakable optimism.

While Diana tries to calculate the most efficient way to carry a heavy load of boxes alone, Arata interrupts and simply carries it all himself.
