While rushing to work, Derek accidentally crashes into June. Though Derek is apologetic and worried he made her angry, June explains that she simply finds talking to people difficult.

Derek breezily dismisses her social anxiety, pointing out that they are talking “just fine”, before suddenly remembering he is late and sprinting off—leaving a bothered June.
