Gabriel is struggling to find inspiration for his next painting when Maple stops by to cheer him on. Gabriel explains that while art is hard work, the joy of creating is what matters most.

To help her understand, he encourages Maple to try drawing something herself. Inspired by his advice, Maple excitedly heads off to create her first “masterpiece.”

Maple returns to show Gabriel the sketches she created after their last talk. Though she worries they are plain, Gabriel praises her work for being full of life and energy.

Encouraged by his feedback, Maple gains the confidence to try using colors next and rushes off to draw more.

Her pure enthusiasm reminds Gabriel to follow his own advice and enjoy the process, finally breaking his creative block.

Maple feels discouraged because her desire to improve is making her art feel more difficult.
