The Crops Show is a recurring festival that takes place around the third or fourth Monday of every season. In Year 1 there is no Spring Crops Show, so the first occurrence of this event will technically be in Summer Year 1.
This is an event where farmers can enter their home-grown crops to be judged.
Participating can earn you a variety of rewards depending on the season and on your crop’s final rank.
How To Enter
On the day of the festival between 12:00PM and 4:00PM, you can begin the Crops Show by speaking with Mayor Felix in the Town Square while holding the crop you’d like to enter.
Felix will confirm that you’d like to enter your held crop.
Once the festival begins, Master Matsuba will judge all of the crops based on their quality and freshness.

How To Win
The quality and freshness of the crops from other entrants won’t be visible. So there isn’t much transparency about what quality level your crop needs to win against other contestants.
But you can mostly guarantee a win by making sure your crop is ‘Perfectly Fresh’ and that it has at least a quality score of these values for each rank:
- ★2 Quality for winning Bronze rank
- ★5 Quality for winning Silver rank
- ★7 Quality for winning Gold rank
A good strategy is to leave your crop unharvested until the day of the festival to ensure it’s as fresh as possible.

Winning first place in any rank will increase the Quality of all crops of the same type, as well as the maximum cap for Quality. So it can be much more profitable to enter crops that regrow, such as Tea Leaves, Broccoli, or Garlic.
If you can win Gold rank at the Crops Show then that will apply a Brand to all crops grown of that same type. However, Brands are lost when a crop is processed or cooked.
