Hearth Day is a social event that takes place during Winter. It’s an event where cooked meals are given as gifts all day between villagers to boost Friendship and share warmth and comfort during the chilly season.
This is a great opportunity to earn major Friendship Points, and to receive some cooked dishes in return – so it’s also a way to learn some new recipes as well.
How to Enter
In your first year, Felix will arrive at the farm house the day before the event to explain the festival and to provide you with three Hot Pot meals that you can use to participate.
The festival begins automatically upon waking up on the day of the event. There are no other requirements to trigger the start of the festival.

Hearth Day Event Details
Since the festival beings when you wake up, you don’t need to wait for any specific time to gift meals (unlike the timing of the Pumpkin Festival).
Qualifying meals will denote ‘Makes a good Hearth Day gift’ in their descriptions. These include things like warm soups and stews, warming dishes like Hot Pot, and warm beverages such as Warm Milk, Hot Coffee, and cups of tea.
And giving warm meals to villagers with whom you have at least 3 Hearts with will also earn you a dish in return!

However, the meals that villagers give you in return cannot be re-gifted to other villagers for Hearth Day, and will only count as a regular gift.
The quality of the gifts you give to villagers does not make a difference. So the quickest and easiest qualifying gift is Warm Milk, which can be made with just Milk, or it can be purchased from Madeleine.

Prizes & Perks
The meals you’ll get in exchange for your Hearth Day gifts will vary with each villager. We’ve listed them all below.
If you have at least 3 Hearts with any villager, they will offer you a 1.5★ quality meal in exchange for your gift. Or if you’re good enough friends to have at least 6 Hearts with a villager, their gift meal to you will be 3★ quality instead.
