Kagetsu’s Divination Readings

Kagetsu will start offering Divination Readings at 4♥ of FP.

Each divination gives you a random blessing that works like a stat buff. The effects you can get from divinations are: reduced Stamina consumption, increased chances of rare crops, increased chances of animal plus (+) byproducts, or increased FP gains from chatting with villagers.

Divination readings are always free and they can be requested at any time once they’re unlocked.

Unlocking Divinations

At Bazaar Rank 3, a magic teleportation portal appears in the Mountain Area. This portal allows you to meet Kagetsu for the first time.

Then to unlock her divination ability you’ll need to raise Kagetsu’s friendship points to 4♥ by giving her gifts and completing any needed requests, and then ultimately completing her 4-heart event.

After that, you can speak with her and select “What’s my future look like?” to receive a divination.

Divination Mechanics

When you receive a divination, your active blessing and its remaining duration will appear at the top left of the main HUD, just below your Stamina bar. This is the same spot where your active food buff will appear.

All blessings last 29:30 in-game time (so about a half-hour IRL) and they can stack with other buffs, including Destiny’s fortune-telling bonus and food buffs from cooked dishes.

Requesting a Divination

You can request a divination any time and any place where you can speak with Kagetsu.

However, unlike food buffs, blessings cannot be overwritten early.

So once a blessing is active, you must wait for it to expire before you can request another one.

All Divination Readings & Meanings

Each divination comes with a short fortune reading that corresponds to a specific blessing.

Below is a list of the possible readings you can get, along with the blessing they each correlate to.

“Turbulent and battered waters… I suggest you mind your health and take care of yourself today.”	Stamina Saver Lv. 1-4

Unfortunately, divination results cannot be save-scummed. Restarting the day will still give you the same blessing.

Note: The Watering Rare Crop % buff you get from a divination is slightly higher than the equivalent food buff at every level (cooking buff = 1% / 3% / 6% / 10%). The other three buffs share the exact same values as their cooking counterparts.
