Monarch Mushrooms are a rare and valuable mushroom that cannot be cultivated directly. There are no spores available for Monarch Mushrooms, so these can only be obtained in two ways:
- Rare Harvest: When growing any mushroom spores on your mushroom logs, there’s a random chance to get a Monarch Mushroom. Higher quality spores increase this chance.
- Foraging: Monarch Mushrooms can be foraged in the mountain area, but only during Fall on cloudy days.
Selling Prices
Monarch Mushrooms are the most valuable of all mushrooms, selling for significantly more than other types.

Quality
Monarch Mushroom quality is determined by two factors:
- Spore Quality (for bonus harvests): When obtained as a rare harvest from mushroom logs, the quality of the original spores you planted will affect the quality of the Monarch Mushroom(s) you receive.
- Webby’s Friendship Level: Increasing your sprite friendship level with Webby (by giving them mushrooms) further boosts the star quality of all mushrooms you collect.

Tip: To maximize your chances of obtaining Monarch Mushrooms, use the highest quality spores you can when planting on mushroom logs. The better the spore quality, the higher your chance of a bonus Monarch Mushroom appearing at harvest.
