The Watering Can is one of the five upgradeable tools and one of the most frequently used on the farm, since healthy crops need daily watering to grow.
Upgrading the Watering Can allows it to store more water on refill, and it increases the grid of tiles that can be watered at once.
The tool can also be used with Jump and Double Jump to hit even more total watered tiles per action.
Where to Get
You receive the Watering Can from Felix on Spring 2, Year 1, as part of the game’s farming tutorial.
During a morning cutscene, Felix teaches you the basics of farming and gives you both the Hoe and the Watering Can.
How to Use
Just stand in front of planted crops with the Watering Can equipped and left-click (or use the action button on your controller) to water them.
To water multiple tiles at once, jump and left-click while in the air.
To refill the Watering Can, go to the water pump on your farm and left-click the water pool.

The Ultimate Watering Can expands the Double Jump watering range to 7×10 tiles, allowing you to water an entire field in a single action. This greatly reduces both time and stamina usage, especially when watering crops twice a day.
